Using the Generator
What can I generate?
Choose Topics for a broad idea, Questions for a direct response, or Words for a creative story or explanation. Category and difficulty filters change the available prompt pool.
Will I get the same prompt twice?
The generator avoids recently shown prompts during your current session. A prompt may appear again later so the tool never runs out when narrow filters are selected.
Can I save a good prompt?
Yes. Select Save below the result. Saved prompts and recent history remain on the device and browser you are using.
Speaking Practice
How long should I speak?
One minute is a useful starting point. Move to two, three, or five minutes when you can present a point, reason, example, and conclusion without rushing.
How much preparation time should I use?
Try 30 seconds as a beginner, 15 seconds as you improve, and no preparation when you want a realistic impromptu challenge.
How do I use PREP?
State your Point, give a Reason, add an Example, and finish by restating your Point. It is simple enough to remember while the timer is running.
Toastmasters, Classes, and ESL
Can this replace a Table Topics master?
It can supply prompts for individual or group practice, but a human host is still valuable for adapting follow-up questions and creating a shared session.
Which settings are best for ESL learners?
Begin with Easy prompts in General or Personal, use 30 to 60 seconds of preparation, and focus on a clear answer before adding complexity.
Can teachers use it in class?
Yes. Display one prompt for the group, assign different categories, or let students save prompts for later presentations.
Privacy and Cost
Does the site record audio?
No. There is no voice recorder, microphone request, or speech analysis.
Is an account required?
No. The generator works immediately without registration.
Is it free?
