Information Stored on Your Device

Saved prompts, recent prompt history, generator preferences, and timer preferences are stored in your browser using local storage. The storage keys begin with rtg_. This data stays on that device and is not uploaded by the generator.

You can remove it by clearing this site’s browser data. Private browsing modes may delete it automatically when the session ends.

Microphone, Audio and AI Feedback

If you enable recording on the Timer page and press Start, we ask for microphone permission. Preparation time is not recorded. Recording and playback stay in this tab unless you explicitly choose Upload & transcribe. That action uploads your audio to private Cloudflare R2 storage and uses Cloudflare Workers AI to transcribe English speech. We store the transcript, available timestamps, topic snapshot, task status, duration and account association in D1. If you choose Analyze speech, we send your topic and transcript to a text model on Cloudflare Workers AI and store its content feedback, scores and model/rubric versions in D1. This automated feedback may be inaccurate and does not assess pronunciation or accent.

Uploaded audio expires after 24 hours; transcripts and associated feedback expire after 7 days from the recording task's creation. Expired data is removed by scheduled cleanup, which may take additional time. You can delete an uploaded recording, transcript and associated feedback from Recent transcriptions. Deletion cannot undo processing already in progress. Local copies disappear when you leave or refresh, or choose Record again; these actions do not delete previously uploaded tasks. Microphone tracks stop when recording ends, you reset, or you leave. Timer sounds are muted during recording.

Google Sign-In

Signing in is optional. Google provides a stable account ID, your verified email address, and your display name. We store your account ID, Google account ID, email, display name, account status, registration time, and last sign-in time in Cloudflare D1. We do not store your Google password or access token. Your browser holds a random session token in a secure, HttpOnly cookie for up to seven days; D1 stores only its keyed hash, account reference, creation time, and expiry. A short-lived sign-in cookie expires within ten minutes. Signing out revokes the current session on the server and clears its cookie. You can also revoke all your sessions from your account page. Expired sessions cannot authenticate and may remain stored until cleanup; account records remain until removed. Contact support to request account-data deletion. Saved prompts and custom categories remain in your browser and are not synchronized to your Google account. Google's use of account information is described in its Privacy Policy.

Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand general website usage, such as page views, device and browser information, approximate location, and interactions with the site. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and may process technical information such as your IP address. We use this information to improve the site, not to create speaking profiles or sell personal information. Google handles analytics data under its own Privacy Policy.

Usage Limits and Report Access

Each account can create up to one upload task per UTC day, resetting at 00:00 UTC. Creating a task counts toward this limit even if upload or transcription later fails; deleting it does not restore the allowance. Retrying the same upload task does not consume another upload. Free accounts can request one new analysis report per UTC day. Each eligible recording can have one report per scoring version. Creating an analysis task uses the daily allowance even if it later fails; deleting it does not restore the allowance. Viewing a report, refreshing or clicking Analyze speech again does not create another analysis task or consume another upload. We do not offer unlimited re-scoring. Limited automatic processing retries may still incur model costs for the site operator.

Technical Hosting Data

Our transcription and analysis task logs record only a task ID, processing status, model identifier, elapsed processing time and a fixed error code. We do not include audio, full transcripts, report text, topic text, email addresses, cookies or model error messages in these application task logs. Task identifiers can be associated with your stored task and are not anonymous. The hosting provider may separately process basic request information such as an IP address, browser details, requested URL, time, and security signals to deliver the site and prevent abuse. We do not use that information to build speaking profiles.
